GENERAL
Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide has almost the same molecular structure as water (H2O). The only difference is that hydrogen peroxide contains an additional oxygen atom, making its chemical structure H2O2. In the atmosphere, hydrogen peroxide is formed after oxygen combines with sunlight to become ozone. As the ozone interacts with water in the form of clouds, hydrogen peroxide is formed.
It naturally accrues in rainwater which cleanses the landscape and oxygenates the soil, lakes, and seas. Hydrogen peroxide works as nature’s perfect cleanser through oxidation with this extra oxygen atom.
Oxygen Plus, food grade hydrogen peroxide 3%, is completely non-toxic. In fact, food grade hydrogen peroxide has been widely used in food manufacturing, personal care products, and the medical community for over 170 years. You can rest assured that it’s safe to use around adults, children, animals, and fresh produce.
Oxygen Plus – Hydrogen Peroxide is tested to European norms by SGS independent laboratories, and we provide a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
No, hydrogen peroxide is not bleach. Hydrogen peroxide is an oxidiser, which means it donates oxygen atoms during the chemical reaction. Bleach is a reducer that removes oxygen atoms during a chemical reaction.
Hydrogen peroxide is used as a natural bleaching agent and sanitiser because it breaks down into water and oxygen, safely and effectively cleaning surfaces without harmful chemicals.
On the other hand, Bleach is a powerful reducer that combines with water to create chlorine, a toxic gas.
Hydrogen peroxide can be used in many different ways. The most common way is to use it as a sanitiser. To do this, apply hydrogen peroxide to the surface you wish to clean and let it sit for 30 seconds. Then, wipe the surface with a clean cloth or paper towel.

Oxyen Plus: Hydrogen Peroxide expires 6 Months after opening, 3 Years unopened.
The 4L container has a tap, preventing air from entering the container and helping the “after open” expiration to expand.
Hydrogen peroxide is biodegradable. It breaks down to water and oxygen upon contact with the environment without leaving any residue.
If you mix equal masses of Hydrogen Peroxide 6% and water, you will get 3% Hydrogen Peroxide. Since the density of Hydrogen Peroxide and water is roughly the same, you can also mix equal volumes. Use our Dilution Chart and Calculator for Plant Care and Cleaning
Yes, Baking soda and Hydrogen Peroxide are some easy-to-use and cheap cleaning products you can use together. It’s a fantastic stain pre-treater for grout cleaning and an excellent pre-treater for slippery tile floors.
Please don’t mix it with vinegar.
Mixing hydrogen peroxide with vinegar creates a corrosive acid, which can cause harm to the skin, eyes, nose, throat and lungs. Mixing it in consecutive doses on surfaces won’t cause any problems but don’t mix them together within a single bottle.

Hydrogen peroxide is a natural sanitiser and one of the safest cleaning products. When used at the recommended 3% solution, it reduces mould, bacteria, and viruses.
Hydrogen peroxide is bactericidal, which means it kills bacteria. It does this by destroying the bacteria’s cell wall and causing it to burst.
At a 3% concentration, hydrogen peroxide only takes about 30 seconds to kill most bacteria.

No – Hydrogen Peroxide is 100% Biodegradable. Septic systems need “aerobic bacteria” to survive, and these types of bacteria grow best in an oxygen-rich environment. Rather than chlorine/bleach which removes oxygen, Hydrogen Peroxide adds it. Therefore, manual addition of H2O2 is often done to septic and waste water systems to prevent smells.
CLEANING
For general cleaning, most people use our 3% hydrogen peroxide. However, we recommend reducing the strength to 1.5% for high-end surfaces like marble or upholstered furniture. If you need to clean heavy stains or sanitise bathrooms, go for our double-strength Hydrogen Peroxide 6% solution.
For plant applications, we offer a dilution chart and calculator.
Sprinkle baking soda over the stain and soak it in 3% hydrogen peroxide for stubborn stains. Wait 5-10 minutes for the solution to work before blotting any extra moisture away with a clean towel. Vacuum the mattress to remove the remaining baking soda after it has finished drying.
Vacuum the mattress on all sides, paying particular attention to seams and fabric overlap. Use a combination of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to fog the mattress. Allow it to dry for 30 minutes (or overnight), then vacuum again.
